The Armed Forced Tribunal Regional Bench Guwahati held that the disability (diabetes mellitus) of the applicant should be held attributable to/ aggravated by the military service.The Bench further stated that the fact that armed forces personnel go through the pressure of rigorous military training and associated stress and strain of the service and holding the disability in question as only metabolic disorder without giving any specific grounds for the opinion may not be acceptable. lt may also be taken into consideratron that the most of the personnel of the armed forces, during their service, work in the stressful and hostile environment, difficult weather conditions and under sfrict disciplinary norms.

 In a landmark judgement the Supreme Court on Friday held that  children born out of void or voidable marriages are entitled to inherit a share of their deceased parents' property, which would have been apportioned to them in a hypothetical division of the Hindu joint family property.
