Developer Ordered to Compensate Buyer by Supreme Court for Offering Flat without Completion and Firefighting Certificates. In a recent ruling, the Supreme Court has mandated the Agra Development Authority (ADA) to provide compensation of Rs. 15 Lakhs to a flat purchaser due to a deficiency of of service from the developer. This deficiency arose from the developer's action of offering possession of the flat without the necessary completion certificate and firefighting clearance certificate.

The Supreme has recently ruled that an accused who is already in custody for one case may still seek anticipatory bail for another case. As long as the individual has not been arrested in connection with the second offense, they are eligible to apply for anticipatory bail. Being in custody for one case does not negate the possibility of being arrested for a separate offense.

The supreme court has recently held that in the computation of loss of dependency for a motor accident claim, it is important to consider all aspects of the deceased's emoluments and benefits. This includes components such as house rent allowance, flexible benefit plans, contributions to provident fund, and any other accrued benefits. These factors should be taken into account when determining compensation for the claim.

 

 

 

The Supreme Court, in a landmark decision, granted bail to an undertrial prisoner accused under the UAPA. The court stated that even though there are statutory limitations, a constitutional court has the authority to grant bail if it determines that the individual's right to a speedy trial as per Article 21 of the Constitution has been violated.
